The two days (one and a half days) are devoted to the theme of storage spaces in medieval castles.
The aim of this event is to examine the location(s) and methods of storage within the castle complex, based on preserved remains, textual sources and iconography. The issues raised are developed in the call for papers. The aim is to bring together researchers working on castles with those working on landscapes in a transdisciplinary perspective.
The papers we wish to receive for these conference days, to be held at the MSH in Dijon on 24 and 25 September 2026, will focus on unpublished work (historical research, archaeological reports, specialised studies, etc.) that sheds light on one or more of the questions raised. Indeed, the proceedings of these conference days are planned to be published.
